When working with Patrick, you continue to work with a skilled asset manager and enjoy the added benefit of independent, unbiased advice without paying more.

To receive a generational wealth specialist’s services, clients sign with them, and they work together to transfer clients’ assets to an asset manager with whom the specialist has a partnership. The specialist will ensure that the clients’ current management fees are matched or beaten, and the asset manager will pay the specialist.

The client continues to work with a skilled asset manager and enjoys the added benefit of independent, unbiased advice without paying more.

Services

  • Generational wealth specialists help clients understand the more complex areas of investing, such as determining the future liquidity of private equity and how trading options can reduce risk, increase income, or boost returns. These specialists are here to ensure everyone is in sync.

  • The generational wealth specialist ensures the trust, titling, beneficiaries, and all estate-planning pieces work together to maximize the amount of wealth transferred safely and correctly. A specialist will usually focus on the use of trusts to shelter beneficiaries from potential pitfalls posed by business creditors, divorce, or unforeseen liabilities.

  • A generational wealth specialist can be named independently to serve in roles such as a trust protector or a trust committee to protect the family when unexpected situations arise (e.g., a corporate trustee abusing their powers or dramatically increasing fees). Typically, providing consistency, a generational wealth specialist can be named as a trust protector for foundations, trusts, or other legal entities to make the necessary changes to protect a beneficiary should something unexpected occur with a corporate (or family) trustee.

  • Working with younger generations to help them respect and understand the power and responsibility of strong finances is crucial. Whether it is a second-generation member in middle age seeking an understanding of investing or estate planning, or a third-generation teen seeking to understand the basics of investing, generational wealth specialists ensure that all generations work together and are prepared to handle the wealth their family has.

  • Whether it’s providing access to private medical groups or helping clients navigate the waters of health insurance or long-term care insurance, the generational wealth specialist makes sure these areas are being properly used by clients in a timely manner.

  • The use of put and call options in a client’s portfolio can be a great tool for increasing income, lowering risk, or adding an opportunity for robust returns. We teach clients how to trade options to meet their specific needs without taking on unnecessary risk.

  • Determining how much money you need to retire can be daunting. We work with clients to ensure they know how much they need to retire, when they can retire, and their best pathway through retirement, so they maintain their complete financial freedom.

Whether we are adjusting a current budget to better meet financial needs or establishing a new budget for clients, we ensure clients know exactly what they can and cannot afford so their financial situation is sound.

  • Using our custom software, we can determine what a university in the United States will cost in the years to come. Once that is incorporated into a client’s specific financial situation and savings, we can advise on savings goals and how to invest to meet future college expenses using Tax-Savings accounts like 529s or their own investment accounts.

  • Whether it’s box seats at a special event or discounts on private flying, generational wealth specialists have access to more people, resources, and opportunities than most. (If you are looking for something, they might know how to get it)

  • Some clients just want or need more, and families become more complex. Whether it is because of a wonderful addition to the family or a tragic event such as the loss of someone who knew and understood the finances, the generational wealth specialist has the time and the knowledge to help you through any situation. A generational wealth specialist can fill many shoes, including providing peace of mind for a client who travels a lot and would like someone to check on their biggest asset while they are gone (their home).

Educating the Next Generation

It is never too early to start learning about investing.

We specialize in teaching children and heirs of all ages the power and responsibility of money in four key areas.

  • We all need to learn the power of saving money for things we need or want. Saving money for the future instead of spending it now is an important skill children need to learn from a young age.

We teach children how to recognize when they need to save money for later and how much to save.

  • There is no greater power than the power of investing. One of the most exceptional gifts anyone can receive is the gift of freedom and flexibility. Learning to invest at an early age is one of the most powerful tools any child can have, leading to this freedom and flexibility later in life.

We teach children about the power of investing and how each different type of investment works. From stocks to bonds to options and more, children learn how every type of investment works and if it is right for them.

  • Many of us are very fortunate. Some of us just need a little help. Children can learn from a young age that giving to those who need help provides value to those in need and helps them understand how fortunate they are in their own lives.

We teach children to recognize when it is appropriate to give to others and how much they can afford to give, so they can effectively support their cause without damaging their own finances.

  • Learning to spend your money responsibly at an early age can lead to better budgeting later in life. Spending your money is a good thing as long as you have learned to do it responsibly.

We teach children how to budget how much they can spend and when it is appropriate to spend it.
